DANA COLLEGE CHORALE TO GIVE SPECIAL CONCERT IN ELK HORN, IOWA,
APRIL 6
Performance is a warm-up for
the group's upcoming European tour
The Dana College Chorale, one of the region’s
most esteemed vocal groups, will give a special concert at 3 p.m.
April 6 at Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa.
The concert is part of the buildup for the Chorale’s
tour of Northern Europe, June 25–July 6, including a performance
at the largest foreign celebration of U.S. Independence Day. Selections
will highlight the excellence of the Chorale’s abilities and
will include several patriotic pieces.
Joining the Dana College Chorale at the Elk Horn Lutheran
Church Concert will be the Elk Horn-Kimballton Chorus, directed by
Karen McFadden.
Dana College and Elk Horn have always had a close relationship,
going back to their Danish origins.
Admission to the concert is free, and the public is
invited to attend.
The Dana College Chorale is well known throughout the
area as a quality singing group. Members audition for a limited number
of spots. The Chorale tours every other year, this summer traveling
to Denmark and Northern Europe. The Chorale's latest CD, "Ancient
