Dana College is partnering with Blair area businesses and
organizations to host a series of Brown Bag networking seminars
on topics of interest to community agencies and organizations.
The seminars will be held every other month on the Dana campus.
You are invited to bring your lunch, business cards and any
resources that you may have available on the topic you would
like to share.
This month’s seminar will be:
Topic: “Free/Low-cost Marketing and PR for Nonprofits
and Community Organizations”.

The Dana College Sports Information Department is proud to
announce seven Viking athletes were named to the first team
of the Omaha World Herald’s All-Nebraska team.
Marcus
Sladek (JR, Omaha, NE), Mark Schlueter (FR, Omaha, NE), and
Trevor Ketelsen (JR, Bloomfield, NE) represented Dana football.
Sladek completed 56.5-percent of his passes this season for
2454 yards and nine touchdowns. He was named to the GPAC Honorable
Mention team. Schlueter had one of the best seasons as a freshman
in Viking history and earned first team all-GPAC honors. He
caught 79 balls for 956 yards and three touchdowns. Ketelsen
was the top tackler for the Vikings this fall. He racked up
55 solo tackles and had two interceptions. Ketelsen also earned
Honorable Mention all-GPAC accolades.
Corbin Lukasiewicz (JR,
Omaha, NE) and Ryan Farr (JR, Converse, TX) earned first
team all-Nebraska honors in Men’s Soccer.
Both players were named to the second team all-GPAC. Lukasiewicz
was the top scorer for the Vikings with eight goals and six
assists. Farr was the Vikings top defender and a 2006 All-American.
Farr dished out three assists from his defensive position.
Michelle
Mullen (FR, Omaha, NE) earned first team all-Nebraska honors
in Women’s Soccer. Mullen played both midfield
and forward for the Vikings last fall. She had four goals
and a team high nine assists. Mullen was also tabbed as a
second team all-GPAC performer.
Cory Logsdon (SO, Ft. Calhoun,
NE) was the lone Vikings
cross country runner to make the national meet. Logsdon
finished
89th place in the national meet with a time of 26:10.4.
The
seven fall athletes marked the largest number of Viking athletes
named to the all-Nebraska first team
since the
inception of the teams.

On Friday at 3 p.m. we will have a short practice to prepare
you for the dance. They are songs and dances everyone knows.
We will also talk about what you would like to wear. Meet
in between the two gyms. Everyone is invited, so bring your friends!
