Prof. Diana Brown will make a presentation
on about her research on Salonika, Greece, and the
modern version of the Holocaust period on June 30 at Beth El
Synagogue.
The Dana men’s and women’s
track team returned home from the NAIA track championships
with personal
records but no points on either side.
Senior John Kaup had the best finish for the Vikings, finishing
14th in the marathon with a time of 2:34.33, running 2 minutes
faster
than last year. This year’s time would have been good
enough to be an All-American last year. This year's marathon
started out with a fast pace and never let up from start to
finish. Junior Eric Bane finished 30th out of 50 in the marathon,
running a PR 2:46.03
The men’s 4x100 team made it to the semifinals before
being eliminated, but finished 16th overall
Senior Santana Hildebrand finished 21st in the Discus. She
was the lone female to go to nationals for the Vikings.
AmeriServe Food Service Management has
been contracted to manage Dana College's food service operation.
Gina Schneider has been hired as manager. She has been with
AmeriServe for seven years and
is currently the manager at Ashford University in Clinton,
Iowa.
Employees will continue to have the opportunity to eat lunch
in the main dining room at a reduced price - $3.50. A punch
card for 10 meals will be available for $30. An additional
enhancement to the program will be “Three Dollar Thursdays” which
will allow employees to eat lunch on Thursdays for $3.
Please watch your email for additional changes and enhancements
to the food service operation including expanded hours, new
promotions, new catering and daily menus, new desserts and
an enlarged and enhanced salad bar.
The next Dana After Hours will be July 19 at the Jazz on the
Green at the Joslyn Art Museum. Snacks will be provided
by the Alumni Office. Bring your own beverages and something
to sit on. Call your friends and join the fun! For more
