Summer of 2006 marked the completion of a long-term project by Dr. Peggy Holloway to record the art songs of American composer Marion Bauer. In July, production of the CD "Send Me a Dream: The Songs of Marion Bauer," recorded in July of 2005 with mezzo-soprano Janet Morrow King and pianist David King of Colorado, was completed and is available for purchase.

In conjunction with the release of the CD, Dr. Holloway provided a poster presentation on the songs of Marion Bauer at the National Conference of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in Minneapolis, June 28 – July 4. At the conference, the editor of the prestigious NATS Journal invited Dr. Holloway to submit an article on the topic. In August, the official release of the CD was “celebrated” with the performance of four of the selections at three recitals sponsored by the music ministry of First United Methodist Church.
