Volunteer opportunities for the Sights and Sounds of Christmas are as follows:

Saturday, December 2: 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Decorating the stage in Gardner-Hawks Center
Set-up of Borup Coliseum (marketplace and performance area)

Sunday, December 3:
Button sales (4 people needed) - Gardner-Hawks Center 10:30-2:30

Reservation desk (2 shifts) - Gardner-Hawks Center 9:30-1:30, 1:30-6:00

Hosts for each performance group (Hosts will be available to answer questions, assist with needs of each group. Performance times are listed below, I will let you know their arrival time)
- Blair Dance Center (11 a.m., 12:30 p.m.)
- Marketplace (opens 11 a.m.)
- Weavers/Lacemakers (start 11 a.m.)
- Jean's Storytime (11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.)
- Scandinavian Dancers (11:30 a.m., 1 p.m.)
- Iowa Western Show Choir (4 p.m.)

T-shirt sellers (2 shifts) - Gardner-Hawks Center 9:30-1:30, 1:30-6:00

Smorgasbord hosts (6 for each shift)
10:15-12:00
11:45-1:30
4:15-6:15

Everyone who volunteers four hours or more is welcome to be our guest at the Scandinavian Smorgasbord. All volunteers on Sunday will receive a free long-sleeved Sights and Sounds of Christmas t-shirt. All Sunday volunteers (excluding smorgasbord hosts) will be asked to wear their shirt on Sunday so they are easily identifiable as a resource. You will also be provided a “special hat” to wear during the day to further identify you as someone who can answer questions.
