Listeners from Hawaii, New Mexico, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas heard all of the action on the KDCV internet audio stream. The live coverage of wrestling is the most recent addition to the sports broadcast line-up on KDCV. In addition to Dana Vikings sports, KDCV also features live broadcasts of Blair High School athletic events. KDCV broadcasts on 91.1MHz in Blair as well as on Dana College DVTV channel 59. Dana’s Pioneer Memorial and Unter den Linden (the trees) are listed in the new CIC Historical Campus Architectural Project list. The CIC Historic Campus Architecture Project (HCAP) is the first nationwide architecture and landscape database of independent college and university campuses (www.cic.edu/hcap). The CIC HCAP website provides extensive information about significant buildings, landscapes, campus plans, and heritage sites of American higher education. Through a user-friendly search engine and a rich set of bibliographic materials, it also guides viewers to a wide variety of sources that they can use for further study. Supported by two generous grants from the Getty Foundation, the HCAP website documents nearly 2,000 campus sites of historical significance that have been provided by nearly 370 institutions.

The Staff Council has selected the Golden Hills Head Start as the recipient of November’s Denim at Dana funds. According to the director of the school, parents have a difficult time paying bills at this time of the year and often a present can become an additional financial burden. The school has 18 students (10 boys and 8 girls), from 3 – 5 years old.

Feel free to wear denim and sport your favorite Dana apparel tomorrow, November 22 by taking your $5.00 (or more if you are able) to the Business Office. All proceeds will be used to purchase these special children a gift to be opened on Christmas morning, complements of Santa Claus (with a little help from the Dana staff).
