Campus Pastor — What Do Dana Students Want? Come and listen, speak and ask your questions. This Thursday, Rev. Dennis Anderson, Bishop Emeritus of the Nebraska Synod, ELCA, will be on campus to speak about " What it means to be a Lutheran/Christian College."

You may participate in his presentations at 12 noon in the Blue and Gold Room of the Dining Hall, at 2 p.m. in Trinity Chapel or at 2:30 p.m. in The Forum. The entire campus community is welcome. Refreshments will be served at the 2:30 meeting.

Kathryn Thomas, Michael Johnson, and Mississe Legonou will be presenting their research projects this Thursday at 4 p.m. in The Forum as part of the Dana College Science Research Symposium.

The Social Awareness Organization, led by President Lisa Nollette, raised funds this fall for Thanksgiving baskets for low-income Blair families. The group assembled and distributed 21 baskets to families identified by the Blair Optimists and the Health and Human Services Department. Many thanks to Dana College staff and faculty for contributing to the project through the Denim for Dana program!

Honour Dugan '05 began work at Dana on Monday as an Admissions Counselor and the Campus Visit Coordinator. She joins us from the Goldenrod Hills Community Action Head Start in Blair.

Jason McSherry also started on Monday as an Admissions Counselor. Jason graduated from Creighton University in 2006 and has been working as a substitute teacher in the Columbia School District in Missouri.

Welcome Honour and Jason!

Every February, a group of medical personnel travel to Nicaragua to run a clinic. Thousands come to take advantage of their services, however the need is often times too overwhelming to meet. How can YOU help?
By bringing in Prescription bottles…those little plastic, amber-colored things that you usually throw away. (Please remove the labels before donating them.) Help us collect pill bottles to send to Nicaragua! Collection boxes located at: Student Center, Library, Durham Center, Cooperman Atrium, and Science Hall. Effort sponsored by the Dana Business Club.

Dana students may attend all our MasterWorks and Chamber concerts at the Omaha Symphony for $10 cash, a student ID, and a completed voucher the day of the show. For more information, click here.
