Students receive top incoming freshman award
Dana College has announced
the winners of the Presidential Scholarship Competition, held Feb.
16 on the college’s campus in Blair, Neb.
The Presidential
Scholarship program is designed to recognize the academic achievements
of high school seniors. More than 120 students
competed in the scholarship competition, which includes an essay
competition and personal interviews with Dana studens and employees.
The
Presidential Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to full tuition.
To enter the competition, students must be entering college for
the first time, have a composite ACT score of 20 (or SAT of 940)
and
a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4-point scale. All participants
receive a scholarship.
