New
www.dana.edu features better organization and more features
Dana College
launched the latest incarnation of its web site, www.dana.edu,
today. The new site features an updated design and reorganized navigation,
especially
for on-campus users.
The redesign is the first complete overhaul of the site
since the fall of 2002. Emphasis was placed on making the navigation
as easy to use as possible, while
updating the look of the site.
“We felt that our last version of the Dana web site really
helped get the right kinds of information to prospective students,” said
Carrie Reed, director of college relations and marketing. “We
kept that organization, but put increased emphasis on making the
site more useful to our current students,
parents, visitors and employees.”
New features of the site include
a portal for future students that provides more options, a better-organized
intranet for employees with increased
content and
a reorganized campus life section with better navigation for current
students. All pages now feature a quick links menu to popular areas
of the site and
a search feature.
“We pride ourselves on having one of the best small-college
web sites around,” Reed
said. “We believe that our users are most concerned with content
and navigation. We feel our new site provides both the information
people want
and ways that
make that information easy to find.”
Dana College is a place
where all students make things happen — in their
own lives and in the lives of others. Through a highly supportive
faculty and campus community, Dana students develop interpersonal
skills, leadership
abilities,
and other important values and knowledge as they make choices about
their future. Dana’s outstanding academic programs in business,
education and social work, among others, ensure that students have
the knowledge, skills and experience
necessary to pursue challenging careers or placement in graduate
school.
Dana College is a private, liberal arts institution in Blair,
