Jeremy Bouman has been named Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Dana College in Blair, Neb. In his new position, Bouman will lead the college’s fundraising, alumni relations and college relations efforts. He began his duties Sept. 4.

Bouman, who comes to Dana from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Foundation, has a background in planned giving, fundraising and communication. In his role as Regional Gift Planner for the Delaware-Maryland Synod, his chief responsibilities were educating individuals and congregations on planned giving vehicles.

Previously, Bouman was Director of Resource Development and Communications for Lutheran Social Services of Metropolitan New York where he was responsible for all aspects of the agency’s fund-raising initiatives and communications. He was the first Director of Development and Communications in the agency’s 100+ year history. He also has professional experience in the telecom industry.

Dana College President Janet Philipp said, “We are pleased that Jeremy Bouman is joining our team. His fundraising experience and leadership will help to propel Dana into a new future. He has proven to be an effective leader and will play a vital role in helping us meet our strategic goals.”

Bouman holds a bachelor’s degree in communications-journalism from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. He and his wife, Sarah, have an infant daughter, Sophia.
