DANA TO HOST KIDS ON THE HILL, OCT.
16
Family favorite lets kids
experience college life
Dana College will once again host Kids on the Hill Day, Oct. 16
on its campus in Blair, Neb.
Kids on the Hill will be slightly different than in previous years.
All children ages 8 through 12 are invited to attend this fun mixture
of athletic and academic offerings. Kids don't have to be connected
to Dana to attend, but they should come dressed for fun.
The event exposes children to many aspects of college life.
For just $3, kids can come up to campus to play games, do hands-on
experiments, eat lunch, see the Viking football team in action and
participate in the annual Frisbee throw at halftime of the Dana
vs. University of Sioux Falls game. Sessions include fun with science,
math and computer art, as well as physical education fun and a preview
of “Seussical: The Musical.”
Kids also have the option of attending a men's or women's soccer
game or volleyball competition for a separate entrance fee. They
can also catch the Dana College Theater's production of "Seussical:
The Musical" at 7:30 p.m. in the Laurtizen Theatre in the Madsen
Fine Arts Center for $5 per person.
Registration runs from 10–10:30 a.m. in front of the Gardner-Hawks
Center. Kids on the Hill Day — and Dana supervision —
officially ends at 1 p.m. For more information on Kids on the Hill,
call (402) 426-7216.
