New director of annual giving looking forward to meeting with alumni and friends

Dana College is proud to announce that it has hired Chrystal LeGrand of Blair as its new director of annual giving.

LeGrand graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Since then, she has served as sales director at an Omaha firm.

“We are pleased to have Chrystal join the Advancement team because of her work experience with people and her enthusiasm for working at Dana College, where she knows she can help make a difference and further the mission of the college,” said Mike Jones, vice president for institutional advancement.

LeGrand will manage the college’s Phonathon efforts, direct mail, Senior Dinner and will conduct many personal visits with friends and alumni of the college. She said she jumped at the chance to take a position with a place like Dana.

“I was drawn to Dana for it’s wonderful faculty and students, great team environment, beautiful campus and the opportunity to work with Dana’s alumni and friends,” LeGrand said. “I’m most excited about getting to work with students on Phonathon and conducting personal visits to alumni to talk about the fun and exciting changes and progress at Dana.”
