STUDENT GROUP HOSTS "DAY OF
DEMOCRATS" AT DANA, OCT. 27
Young Democrats bring candidate
Matt Conneally
and others to campus
Dana College’s chapter of Young Democrats will
host a special pre-election Day of the Democrats on the college’s
campus in Blair on Wednesday, Oct. 27.
From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in The Forum of the Margre Henningson
Durham Center, Matt Conneally, Democratic candidate for Nebraska
1st District House of Representatives seat, will meet and greet
the public. The event is free and open to all. Several local Democratic
officeholders are expected to also appear.
The session will be the culmination of Conneally’s
one-day tour of Blair, from the Cargill corn oil processing plant
on the east side of town, through the main business district to
Dana on the west side. The Young Democrats will finish off the day
by hosting a free screening of “Fahrenheit 9/11” starting
at 8 p.m. in the Linden Room of the E.C. Hunt Campus Center.
