WINDS OF FREEDOM TO PERFORM AT DANA
U.S. Air Force band will give
free concert, Nov. 5
On Friday, Nov. 5, the Dana College Music Department
will sponsor a concert by the Winds of Freedom woodwind quintet
from the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band. The free performance
will be held at noon in Trinity Chapel on the Dana College campus.
The Winds of Freedom perform for military as well
as civilian audiences in a number of different settings, and a part
of their mission is to perform in schools, colleges, and universities.
The quintet’s repertoire consists of classical, jazz and standard
woodwind quintet music showcasing its musical diversity.
Quintet members include Staff Sergeant Kimberly T.
Miller, clarinet; Staff Sergeant Coreen A. Levin, oboe; Staff Sergeant
Kimberly M. Vance, horn, Airman First Class Jonathan B. Biccum,
bassoon, and Airman First Class Jennifer Rush, flute. Both Staff
Sergeant Vance and Airman First Class Rush are from Lincoln, NE
where they attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Blair and College communities a performance by this outstanding
