Visitation services for former U.S. Sen. Paul Simon,
founder and director of the Public Policy Institute at Southern
Illinois University Carbondale, will be on Saturday, December 13
from 2–6 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 700 S. University
Ave., Carbondale, (Ill.).
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December
14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Arena.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial
contributions be made payable to the SIU Foundation and sent to
the Public Policy Institute, Mailcode 4429, Carbondale, IL 62901,
or to Dana College, Paul Simon Fund, 2848 College Drive, Blair,
NE 68008.
Sen. Simon, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Meredith Funeral Homes in Carbondale is in charge
of arrangements.
