The Gardner-Hawks Center and Borup Coliseum
is the home of the Dana College Physical Education and Athletic
Departments. The center includes a competition gymnasium with
three courts and a one-tenth mile walking track, a practice
gym, a six-lane, twenty-five yard swimming pool and indoor
batting cage. The facility also contains a newly-created free
weight room/fitness room with a variety of aerobic equipment
and a Universal weight machine. A wrestling room, classrooms
and staff offices are also part of the building. The indoor
facility is supported by an adjoining football stadium, track
and soccer fields. The tennis courts, baseball and softball
fields are within short walking distance of the coliseum.
Major renovations were recently completed to Borup Coliseum.
The new Gardner-Hawks Center was completed in the fall of 2003.
