PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Physical Education majors do not just learn in a classroom setting, but on the court and field as well. Students are challenged physically, mentally and socially/emotionally. For instance, students will learn about coaching strategies, motivating athletes, nutrition and first aid on the field.

Dana's P.E. graduates have an excellent reputation regionally, with a 98 percent employment placement rate after graduation. Professions that can be obtained include athletic trainer, personal trainer, graduate assistants, teaching and coaching at all levels, and at fitness centers. The Physical Education department develops the "whole" person on the Dana College campus.
