Religion majors at Dana College engage in a course of study
that includes biblical studies, theology, history of religion
and comparative religion. Religion majors don't just concentrate
on one particular religious view, but several. This helps them
to evaluate their own religious beliefs and better understand
other religious ideas.
Students who major in religion or youth ministry can gain positions working
in churches as lay assistants, youth group leaders and church educators, or
they can continue their education at seminary. Whether they are introduced
to the Bible, Christianity or religion in general, they will learn to consider
more deeply their own religious backgrounds and those of others.
