Residence Life employs a number of students as Resident Assistants.
RAs must work with students in a community living environment and
assist them with their personal and academic needs and concerns.
Because of
this, we are looking for mature, responsible, dedicated and flexible
individuals who have a genuine interest in working with others. These
students must be able to balance the added responsibilities of the
RA position with their academic course requirements and any other
co-curricular commitments. RA job responsibilities include, but are
not limited to:
* Facilitating community development and individual students' growth
and personal well being
* Helping new students adjust to Dana College
* Encouraging student input and participation in residence hall and
college programs
* Supporting student leaders and government within the residence halls
* Educating students about the college and residence hall procedures,
policies, and regulations and enforcing those policies
* Intervening in crisis and conflict situations
