DANA'S FBI SCHOLARSHIP

Dana recently had a visit from the FBI, but these feds just wanted to help.

Dana was chosen as one of seven to receive a $2,500 scholarship from the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation’s J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Scholarship Program. Dana alumnus Dwight J. Ayers ’69, a member of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, selected Dana’s criminal justice program as the recipient.

In recognition of J. Edgar Hoover’s pursuit of excellence in educational standards for the FBI, former agents and friends donated funds to establish a perpetual scholarship in his name. Each year, one member of the society from each of its seven national regions is selected at random to choose a college or university to receive the award.

Initially, the individual scholarship awards were for $1,000, but in 1990 they were increased to $2,500. The awards are designated for the institution’s general scholarship fund, with an expressed preference for the law enforcement curriculum.
