NEW FACES JOIN DANA COLLEGE
Several new employees have joined Dana in the last year. Here is
just a few bits of information about these talented newcomers to
the hill:
- Karen Bertram ’96, instructor
of business administration and assistant softball coach, was a
standout utility player for Dana in the ’90s. After majoring
in mathematics and accounting at Dana, she went on to earn her
master’s in accounting at the University of Nebraska at
Omaha.
- Louise Driver, director of financial
aid, is originally from Gurdon, Ark. She earned a bachelor’s
of business administration from Henderson State College in Arkadelphia,
Ark.
- Brandi Feyerherm, facilities management,
comes to Dana after working as a babysitter for the State of Nebraska.
She is originally from Mondamin, Iowa, and attended West Harrison
High.
- Karen Frizzell, reference librarian,
comes to Dana from Metropolitan Community College, where she was
a library assistant. Originally from Omaha, Frizzell graduated
from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Dr. Peggy Holloway, visiting assistant
professor of music, has taught at a variety of schools and colleges.
She has earned a bachelor of science in French from Nebraska Wesleyan
University, a bachelor of music in vocal performance from the
University of Nebraska at Omaha, a master of music in vocal performance
from UNO and a doctor of musical arts in vocal performance from
the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Chuck Caul, facilities management,
comes to Dana with 30 years of experience in carpentry. He is
originally from Allentown, N.J.
- Beth King ’98, admissions
counselor, earned a bachelor’s in music education at Dana
before going on to get her master’s degree in vocal performance
from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Brandi Koester, student activities
director and hall director of Argo and Holling Halls, comes to
Dana from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D. While at Augustana,
Koester worked for Student Activities as a work-study student
for two years and was co-chairwoman of Augustana's Homecoming
week and chairwoman of Habitat for Humanity.
- Pat Morris ’99, assistant
football coach and athletic development, was a defensive back
for the Vikings after attending Nebraska City-Lourdes High School.
Morris has two daughters, Ciera, 6, and Audree, 3.
- Jackie Smith ’99, administrative
assistant in academic services, comes to Dana after being a residential
counselor at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.
She is originally from Hay Springs, Neb., and earned a bachelor
of arts degree in biology from Dana.
- Glenda Trecek, administrative assistant
for financial aid, is originally from Bellevue, Neb. She attended
Midland Lutheran and Dana, before leaving to work in an office.
She owned and managed Dairy Delight in Logan, Iowa, for 19 years.
- Charidith Uhing, facilities management,
attended Tekamah High School. Her previous job was as a contracted
janitor for OPPD.
- Johan Windmuller ’97, admissions
counselor, is originally from Roskilde, Denmark. He studied international
communication at Dana and earned a bachelor of arts degree.
