Sharp Shooters

The 2003 Dana women’s basketball team completed the season with a team GPA of 3.558, the highest of all Dana College’s sports teams for the 2003-04 school year and the fifth highest in the nation. This accomplishment reflects Dana’s commitment to excellence in the classroom.

Head Coach Brenda Mechels ’96 said she is proud of her team’s achievement. “When I’m recruiting, I look for student-athletes who work hard in the classroom, because they will also work hard on the court.”

Basketball Centarians

This season marks the 100th season of men’s basketball at Dana College. Friends and alumni are invited to attend a special celebration on Saturday, February 5, 2005, during the Dana vs. Dordt College men’s basketball game.  Tipoff is at 4 p.m.
