DIANE MOORE CALLING

Development Associate Diane Moore has joined the office of Institutional Advancement to help expand Dana’s alumni donor base. A Norfolk native, she comes to Dana College with experience from several non-profit organizations. She will be making personal contacts with potential alumni donors and coordinate Dana’s annual Alumni Phonathon.

“I’m very excited about hearing the Dana story from alumni,” she said. “Dana has a strong legacy — built literally by the generosity of generations. The Phonathon is an effort to give every former alumnus/ae the opportunity to continue the tradition and make an impact, especially those we have yet to reach.”

On Feb. 17, alumni phones will begin ringing with current Dana student callers ready to update alumni records and bring alumni up to date on the latest campus events, facilities expansion projects and visit with alumni about their most cherished Dana memories.

“Alumni play vital roles in the future of Dana College. We are dedicated to keeping them informed of campus goals, needs and challenges. Alumni giving participation is necessary to help meet the challenges ahead,” Moore said.

Alumni contributions may support several areas including scholarships, endowment, facilities and academics, as well as other areas. Donors may increase gifts by offering multiple-year pledge support or by participating in matching gift programs.

Most importantly all gifts received help to ensure quality teaching programs and increase student opportunities. All gifts are tax-deductible.
