On Sunday, December 7, you are invited to the Dana College
campus in Blair, Neb., to attend a day-long holiday celebration
known as the Sights and Sounds of Christmas. Come share the day
with us as we usher in the Christmas season with an emphasis
on the customs and food of Scandinavia. Enjoy all of the activities
of the day (excluding our famous Scandinavian smorgasbord) with
a purchase of a collectible lapel pin for only $5.
Dana College has welcomed the holiday season with this Christmas
festival for decades. Several musical
ensembles will perform, including the Dana College Chorale and
Omaha Northwest High School Choir and other performances groups
include the Blair Dance Center, Swedish Weavers, and Scandinavian
Folk Dancers.

A very popular feature of every Sights and Sounds of Christmas
event is the incredible Danish “tastes” of Christmas
found on the Scandinavian smorgasbord tables at Dana College.
This is an event you won’t want to miss! Even if you have
sampled this famous smorgasbord in the past, we urge you to
make plans to attend this year. The menu includes frikadeller,
medisterpølse,
stuffed pork loin and delicious desserts. Reservations are
recommended as seating is limited. Tickets purchased in advance
are $16.50
for adults
and $7 for children. Tickets purchased the day of the festival
are $18.50. Reservations
are accepted online by clicking here.
