The sociology programs at Dana College is designed to give students
a better understanding about people and why they do the things
they do. The programs provide a broad perspective of human
interaction, social norms and values.
Sociology majors may choose a criminal justice concentration to
prepare for careers in such fields as law enforcement, probation
and parole, corrections and juvenile diversion. The concentration
stresses understanding of the relationship between criminal justice
and such social problems as poverty, social injustice and racism.
