Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors Announced

            (Sioux City, IA) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following softball player and pitcher-of-the-week for April 16 –April 22, 2007.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2006-2007 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

The following are the GPAC weekly honorees for April 16 – April 22 (week six):

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Softball Weekly Honors

Player- Josie Barrow, Dana
            Dana third baseman/pitcher Josie Barrow is the Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week.  Barrow, a junior from Woodward, Iowa, posted a .588 batting average with eight RBI’s and five doubles.   In six games she also belted two homeruns and drew six walks.  On the mound she was 3-0.  Barrow was the 2006 GPAC Softball Player-of-the-Year.  The Vikings entered the week at 28-13.
