Region III Weekly Honors Announced for Week of 4/16-4/22

            (Sioux City, Iowa – April 24, 2007) -  NAIA Region III is proud to announce the following weekly honors in softball and baseball for the week of April 16 to April 22, 2007.  The following players will now be in consideration for NAIA National Weekly Honors.

SOFTBALL
 

Player- Josie Barrow, Dana
            Dana third baseman/pitcher Josie Barrow is the NAIA Region III Softball Player-of-the-Week.  Barrow, a junior from Woodward, Iowa, posted a .588 batting average with eight RBI’s and five doubles.   In six games she also belted two homeruns and drew six walks.  On the mound she was 3-0.  Barrow was the 2006 GPAC Softball Player-of-the-Year.  The Vikings entered the week at 28-13.
