ROSE to become a viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Softball team announced the signing of Ashley Rose of Omaha, Nebraska.  Rose is a senior infielder and outfielder at Omaha Central High School and for the Echoes Renegades.

“Ashley comes in as a true utility player who can play infield or outfield if needed,” commented Coach Marcy Roff.  “We are not sure where we will work her in right away, but we know she can handle multiple positions because she has played many of them at a high level.”

The Vikings are currently 30-15 on the season and 17-3 in conference play.  Last season, the Vikings finished 43-10 overall and 20-2 in the GPAC.  Dana won the regular and past season titles.  Coach Roff and the Vikings advanced to the regional tournament before bowing out to Valley City State.  Roff is entering her fourth season at the helm of the Viking ship.
