Schuller to become a Viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Softball team announced Thursday the signing of Brittany Schuller of Columbus, Nebraska.  Schuller is a senior pitcher and first baseman at Columbus Lakeview High School.

Schuller was a member of the 2006 Class C State Champions ViQueen team.  She was named to both the all-conference team and the Class C all-state squad.

Coach Roff expects Schuller to pitch and play on the field.  Last season, she had a 0.59 earned run average.  This was enough to earn her first team all-state honors.

“ She has had tremendous success on the softball field,” added Coach Roff.  “We are thrilled that she has decided to become part of the Viking softball program.”

Last season, the Vikings finished 43-10 overall and 20-2 in the GPAC.  Dana won the regular and past season titles.  Coach Roff advanced her team to the regional tournament before bowing out to Valley City State.  Roff is entering her fourth season at the helm of the Viking ship.
