Record Setting Day at Kip Javrin Track Meet

 

Indianola, Iowa ~ The Dana College Track teams took part in the Kip Javrin Open on Saturday afternoon.  Santana Hildebrand (JR, Waukee, IA) broke her own hammer throw record for the second straight week.  The men’s 4x100 meter relay team also set a new record time.

 

Santana Hildebrand brought back the top place for the Vikings.  Hildebrand placed 12th in the discus and 13th in the hammer throw.  The men’s 4 x 100 meter dash team gave the Vikings their top place with a third place finish with a time of 42.99 seconds.  The men’s 4x400 team also gave a top five finish with a time of 3:30.08 minutes.  Roger Goff (SO, Missouri Valley, IA) gave the best individual performance with a fifth place finish in the javelin.  Goff tossed the javelin 167 feet 6 inches.

 

Dana will be traveling to Seward, Nebraska to the GPAC Championships this weekend.  The meet is scheduled to start at 10:00am.
