Dana Throwers compete at Midland

The Dana College track throwers competed at the Midland Throwers Meet in Fremont on Wednesday. Chase Trecek (FR, Bellevue, Neb.) had the day’s highest finish for the Vikings, placing fourth in the men’s shot put with a 47-7.5 effort. Roger Goff (SO, Missouri Valley, Iowa) also placed ninth in the event.

Other men’s performances included Goff finishing sixth in the men’s javelin, Clark Allen (FR, Clarinda, Iowa) finishing sixth in the discus, and Pat Magorian (FR, Crofton, Neb.) finishing ninth in the javelin.

On the women’s side, Santana Hildebrand (SO, West Des Moines, Iowa) finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 121-8. Also, Jamie Jones (SO, Gretna, Neb.) placed sixth in the women’s javelin.

The Dana track athletes will next be in action at the Concordia Invite April 13-14 in Seward, Neb.
