 Two Vikings Compete at Concordia

Blair, Nebraska ~ A pair of Dana track athletes competed in the Concordia University Twilight Meet in Seward last weekend with the hopes of qualifying for the NAIA National Track Meet.  Terence Almond (SR, Pelham, GA) and Roger Goff (JR, Missouri Valley, IA) each were top three finishers in their respective events.

Almond placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet 6.5 inches.  The NAIA provisional mark for the triple jump was 46 feet.  Goff placed second in the javelin with a throw of 183 feet.  The NAIA provisional qualifying mark was 184 feet.

The Vikings will take a small contingent to the National Meet at Ralph Korte Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri this coming weekend.
