Coach Friesen’s Corner
“This week the track team was hit
with some very bad news when we learned that Chelsea and Lindsey
Fibranz's father had passed away unexpectedly. Most of the team went to
McPherson on Saturday to support Chelsea and Lindsey and those who could
not go down wore black ribbons on their uniforms, which were made by
Eric Bane, to show support for Chelsea and Lindsey. It just made me
realize how very close we are as a team. When athletes, without being
asked, are willing to give up something or make ribbons to wear to show
support for their teammates in need. I was very proud of our team this
weekend.”
The Vikings will travel to
Indianola, Iowa to take part in the Kip Javrin Open hosted by Simpson
College. The GPAC track meet is May 3 in Sioux City, Iowa.
