FISHER SIGNS WITH dana college

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Cross Country and Track teams announced the signing of Sadie Fisher of Lehigh, Iowa to a national letter of intent.  Fisher ran cross country and track at Southeast Webster High School.  She is the daughter of David and Audra Fisher and plans to major in History and Law while at Dana College.

“Sadie has a great background that will help her become successful in the GPAC,” commented Head Cross Country Coach Marc Bierbaum.  “She is a dedicated hard worker who will make an impact on both teams in the fall and spring.  She is a very competitive runner.”

She is a three time All-Conference performer in cross country for three years and qualified for the state track meet in the 4x800 in 2007.

Fisher’s resume in the classroom is equally impressive as on the track.  She has been a member of the National Honor Society and Academic All-Conference teams.

Marc Bierbaum is in his first year as the Head Coach of the Dana College Cross Country and Women’s Track program.

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings participate in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are members of the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
