The Viking Volleyball squad was defeated twice on Saturday by Bethel College 3-2 and 0-3.  The losses drop the Vikings’ record to 1-5 (0-1 in GPAC).  Bethel is 8-0. 

Dana fought hard in the first match winning games 2 and 4 before finally being defeated in the fifth 15-13.  Senior Darcy Gross (Earling, IA) led the Vikings’ attack with 18 kills.  Kali Brayfield (Elkhorn, NE) contributed 10 kills and 5 blocks.  Holly Lehmer (Omaha, NE) had 34 set assists.  Shanan Arnold (Leavenworth, KS) had 17 digs.

In the second match, the Vikings were defeated 30-25, 30-21, 30-24.  The Vikings were once again led offensively by Gross who tallied 15 kills and Lehmer who had 30 set assists. 

The Vikings will host Concordia University (8-6, 1-1) in the GPAC on Wednesday, September 13, at 7:30 PM.
