Warriors Beat Vikings in Final Home Game

            Midland Lutheran defeated Dana 3-1 (30-24, 25-30, 30-26, 30-22) on Tuesday night.  A strong performance by Midland’s Rachel Nisi who had 15 kills and 4 ace serves helped the Warriors avenge a September 20 loss the Vikings.  The Vikings record now stands at 6-25 (1-14 GPAC).  Midland is 8-24 (2-13 GPAC).

            Viking senior Darcy Gross (Earling, IA) recorded 15 kills, 2 ace serves, and 3 total blocks.  Senior Shanan Arnold (Leavenworth, KS) had 21 digs.  Freshman Lacie Greiner (Boone, IA) led Dana with 16 kills.  Greiner also had 11 digs.

            The Vikings next contest will be in the GPAC tourney which begins play on Saturday, November 4.  Tops seeds for the tournament will be #9 Hastings (31-3, 16-0 GPAC) and #15 Northwestern (27-2, 14-1 GPAC).
