Viking Volleyball Wins One, Loses Two at Weekend Tourney

The Viking Volleyball team defeated University of St. Mary and lost to Benedictine and Valley City State in Leavenworth, Kansas, over the weekend at the St. Mary’s Tourney.  Dana beat St. Mary 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-23).  Dana lost to Benedictine 3-0 (30-21, 30-28, 30-26) and Valley City State 3-0 (30-23, 30-21, 30-20).

Dana’s record is now 6-18 (1-8 in GPAC).

Versus St. Mary’s, Darcy Gross (SR, Earling, IA) had 10 kills and 4 aces.  Gross had 29 kills in the three games.  Kali Brayfield (FR, Elkhorn, NE) had 10 kills and 2 aces.  Lacie Greiner (FR, Boone, IA) had 9 kills.  Shanan Arnold (SR, Leavenworth, KS) had 13 digs.

Dana is next in action against Nebraska Wesleyan in Blair on Wednesday, October 18, at 7:30 PM.
