Doyle to Become a Viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Volleyball team announced the signing of Gabrielle Doyle of Omaha, Nebraska to a national letter of intent.  Doyle is an outside hitter from Omaha Bryan High School.  Doyle plans to major in Secondary Education during her career at Dana College.Doyle was a four year varsity starter and letter winner at Omaha Bryan.  She was named All-State and All-Metro Honorable Mention teams in 2006 and 2007. 

“ I'm very excited to be part of Dana's volleyball program because Coach Cain does a great job motivating, supporting, and teaching me to be the best player I can be,” commented Doyle.  “I've also had fun meeting the girls on the team.  I think we can really gel and work hard together to perform as a team.”


“ Gabriella is a very aggressive defensive player with a ton of ball control,” commented Coach Rayna Cain.  “She has excellent knowledge of the game to anticipate and react to different situations.  Gabi is capable of performing both defensively and offensively, making her a threat on the outside.  We are thrilled to have her join our program next season.”

Last season, Dana College finished 8-23 overall and 1-14 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. It was the second year at the helm of the Viking program for Coach Cain.Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
