Knuppel to Become a Viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Volleyball team announced the signing of Morgan Knuppel of Bancroft, Nebraska to a national letter of intent.  Knuppel is an outside hitter from Bancroft-Rosalie High School.  She is the daughter of Jeff and Lynn Knuppel of Bancroft and plans to major in Physical Therapy during her athletic and academic career.

“Coming from a small town, I really like the small campus feeling,” commented Knuppel.  “I’m really looking forward to joining the coaches and players at Dana to play volleyball at the next level.  Everyone seems very friendly.”

Knuppel was an all-conference player in both volleyball and basketball.  She was also a member of the Academic All Conference team for volleyball.  Her Bancroft-Rosalie team was conference, district, and state champions.

“Morgan is a great defender and has the ability to swing aggressively on the outside,” said Head Coach Rayna Cain.  “Her serve will be an effective tool for us next season.  We are very excited to have her become a part of our team.”

Last season, Dana College finished 8-23 overall and 1-14 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. It was the second year at the helm of the Viking program for Coach Cain.

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
