Myers to Become a Viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Volleyball team announced the signing of Lexie Myers of Papillion, Nebraska to a national letter of intent.  Myers is a libero from Papillion South High School.

Myers, a member of the Premier Volleyball club, was a member of the Academic All-State team and a varsity award winner for the Titians.

“I like the small campus community feeling at Dana,” said Myers.  “I enjoy spending time with the players on the volleyball team and I like the balance of hard work and fun the volleyball program offers.”

“Lexie brings a tremendous amount of experience from a very successful club and high school career,” said Coach Rayna Cain. “She is a very hard working and coachable athlete that will succeed both on and off the court.  Her ability to perform in the back row will be an asset for us as we head into the 2008 season.”

Last season, Dana College finished 8-23 overall and 1-14 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. It was the second year at the helm of the Viking program for Coach Cain.Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
