Renning to Become a Viking

Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Volleyball team announced the signing of Mikenzie Renning of Emerson, Nebraska to a national letter of intent.  Renning is a defensive specialist from Emerson-Hubbard High School.   Renning has been a member of the All-Conference and All-State teams while attending Emmerson-Hubbard.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of playing volleyball at the next level and learning a new position in volleyball,” said Renning on her college decision.  “I am also looking forward to the challenges of college and meeting new friends.”

"Mikenzie has great ball control, determination, and has the ability to transform into a very good defensive player next season,” commented Head Coach Rayna Cain.  “She is a great overall addition to the Viking Volleyball program."

Last season, Dana College finished 8-23 overall and 1-14 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play. It was the second year at the helm of the Viking program for Coach Cain.

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska.  The Vikings are members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference and the NAIA.  Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
