Vikings Fall on the Road

The Dana College women’s basketball team ended their season on the road in Mitchell, South Dakota.  The Vikings fell to Dakota Wesleyan 74-56 in the opening round of the GPAC basketball tournament.

Poor shooting and turn-overs proved to cost the Vikings.  Dana shot only 38.3-percent from the floor.  The Vikings also turned the ball over 21 times, which resulted in 17 Tiger points.

Chelsey Williams (JR, Tabor, IA) led all Viking scorers with 14 points and five rebounds before fouling out.  Amanda Bryant (JR, Treynor, IA) added 12 points and six rebounds.  Amy Nichol (SR, Des Moines, IA) ended her college career with six points, two steals, and three boards in 24 minutes.

Dana ends their season at 9-22 overall and 4-12 in conference play.
