Blair, Nebraska ~ The Dana College Women’s Basketball team announced the signing of Brittany Pritchard of Norwalk, Iowa, to a national letter of intent. Pritchard is a guard and forward from Norwalk High School. She is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Pritchard.

“ I love the academics at Dana College,” said Pritchard. “I felt comfortable with the basketball team, coaches, and faculty on campus.”

Pritchard is a three-time honorable mention all-conference performer at Norwalk. She was a member of the 2006 State Championship team and plays AAU basketball for Iowa Elite. Pritchard has been active in soccer, volleyball, and choir. She is planning on a double major in criminal justice and sociology.

“ We are extremely excited Brittany has chosen to join the Dana basketball family,” said Dana Head Coach Brenda Mechels. “She works extremely hard and will fit into our program and system well. She has a great personality and is a great competitor.”

Coach Mechels is in her sixth year at the helm of the women’s basketball program.

Dana College is a private, Lutheran college located in Blair, Nebraska. The Vikings participate in the Great Plains Athletic Conference and are members of the NAIA. Dana College is a place where all students actively participate.
