Six Women’s Basketball Players Named Scholar-Athletes

The 2007-08 Division II Women's Basketball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes have been announced with over 220 student-athletes recognized with this prestigious honor.

 Dana College had six members of this years Scholar-Athlete team.  Members of the Vikings basketball team include:  Erin Bazata (JR, Randolph, NE), Lauren Brooks (JR, Raymond, NE), Amanda Bryant (JR, Treynor, IA), Allie Oestmann (JR, Ft. Calhoun, NE), Megan Parker (JR, Sloan, IA), and Chelsea Williams (JR, Tabor, IA).

In order to be a recipient of the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete award, one must fulfill these requirements: the recipient must be a junior or above in academic standing; has been in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year of attendance; has a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of nomination at the nominating institution; has been certified as eligible.
